I know, I know, you think that Jacoozi has fallen off the face of the earth.
It just isn't true. So WHAT has she been doing lately? You mean BESIDES
chug-a-lugging very expensive port, eating nicoise olives straight out of
the jar, and thinking uber-deep thoughts?
Yeah. What else...
Just revamping the entire concept for my column, website, and general state
of mind.
Huh?
Okay, here's the scoop. I've been developing a new radio show. And just
like the entire universe, it revolves around me, Jacoozi. Listen to the
attached mp3 promo. Read below. Come to the premiere party. Chug-a-lug
some wine with me. Make casual conversation. Meet beautiful people.
The party: Feb. 13th, Tuesday, 4:30-6 at Stockbridge Booksellers on Elm
Street in Stockbridge, Massachusetts.
The show: BIMBOPOLITICS starring Jacoozi will be ON THE AIR, every other
Tuesday, from 5-5:30, on WBCR 97.7 Great Barrington. But for those of you
who live in Tibet, Nepal, or Sherman Oaks, the show, and the accompanying
column, will be available on my website for your reading and listening
pleasure.

JACOOZI ON THE AIR!!
BIMBOPOLITICS, a new show on 97.7 WBCR, will air for the first time on
Tuesday, Feb. 13th, from 5-5:30.
This new bi-weekly (every second and fourth Tuesday of each month) show is a
spin-off of the formerly syndicated newspaper column, THE WORLD ACCORDING TO
JACUZZI. Jacoozi, (a character created by writer Juliane Hiam Scribner) is
an observer of pop-culture and human behavior, an academic wanna-be, is both
an airhead and a thinker of, as she says, "uber deep pseudo-profundity."
She is also a self-proclaimed bimbo, and appeals to her audience to reverse
the use of that label, with the premise that no woman, whether sexually
charismatic or not, is mentally vaccuous nor should be labelled as such.
The show is hosted by Jacoozi, and includes chats with guests, as well as
comedic sketches with regular characters Ben, her handyman, his Aunt Jerusha
who is a "150 year old grandfather clock of a woman" from the back woods of
the Berkshires, Jacoozi's editor and beau Scribby, and others. Upcoming
guests include Karen Lee of the local Karen Lee's Pilates Central in Lenox
on the "Karen Lee for Mayor" episode, Lynda Myer a local vintage clothing
expert and historian on the "History of Underwear" episode, Mitch Altman of
TV-B-Gone, Sara Schwimmer of Chosencouture.com, and Jason Webley, the edgy
independent singer/screamer/songwriter whose accordian Klezmer-ish punk folk
music has a cult following both in his hometown of Seattle and
internationally.
Special thanks to the uber-uber-wonderful Robby Baier of Sub Station
Recording Studio in Housatonic, Mass. for the super cool theme music.
